Overview
In beauty and hair salons, capacity is people and chairs — not delivery riders. GLIT’s beauty booking platform ties technician schedules to customer booking slots, then surfaces the week on a home appointment board. Managers set who works when; customers only see free times; front desk sees the whole week without Excel. This article explains the scheduling module for operators evaluating the stack.

What the Schedule Module Covers
- Technician roster — Staff profiles linked to bookable services and skills.
- Working hours — Per-day or recurring windows when a technician can take appointments.
- Bookable slots — Customer H5 only lists times that match schedule + package duration.
- Preferred stylist — Guests can pick a named technician or any available slot.
- Weekly appointment board — Mon–Sun columns on the merchant home, with prev / this / next week navigation.
- Buffer & conflicts — Occupied intervals stay off the open list so two guests are not promised the same chair.
- Reminders — Upcoming bookings can trigger customer reminders to cut no-shows.
- Proxy booking — Phone guests still consume the same schedule when staff book for them.
How Scheduling Works with Booking
- Define technicians — Add staff in the merchant admin with name, avatar and skill level.
- Publish working hours — Mark which days and time ranges each technician is on duty.
- Customer picks a package — Duration (for example 60 / 90 minutes) decides how long a slot must stay free.
- Customer chooses date & person — The app loads open windows for that day from the schedule.
- Submit booking — The slot is reserved; merchant confirms if the shop uses a review step.
- Front desk scans the week — On the home board, each day shows appointments (or “no booking yet”) with equal column height and scroll when a day is busy.
- Adjust as needed — Reject, reschedule or add a walk-in booking; the board and customer status stay aligned.
Weekly Board for Busy Front Desks
Peak salons lose time hunting who comes at 3pm. The merchant dashboard includes an appointment schedule card: week range, booking count summary, and seven day columns. Days with bookings show time, customer, service and technician; empty days stay short and consistent so the layout does not jump. Staff can jump to previous / current / next week and open the full booking list when they need filters.
That view is meant for the floor — not a separate analytics product. It answers “who is coming this week?” in one glance.
Why Schedule UX Matters for Salons
- Less double booking — Open slots come from real working hours, not memory.
- Fairer chair use — Busy stylists fill their day; off-duty hours stay closed online.
- Phone + app on one calendar — Proxy bookings use the same availability rules.
- Fewer no-shows — Reminders before start give guests a chance to cancel early.
- Manager visibility — The weekly board replaces scattered chat screenshots and paper books.
Try Schedule & Booking Together
Log into beauty-pc.e-glit.cn/beauty-pc, open Staff Schedule, then check the weekly board on Home. On the customer H5, book the same technician and confirm the slot disappears for overlapping times. Demo accounts: WhatsApp +86 15732258037.
